Each week over 10,000 kids receive a face-to-face contact with Emerge Children's Initiatives. Through local partners, we rescue children from the grip of generational poverty, media lies, and physical exploitation.
NURTURE
We provide them with the long-term love and care they need to heal and grow into the free children of God has made them to be. They flourish and develop skills that make them employable.
SEND
We cheer them on as they live out their freedom and become a source of hope for their own communities.
BATANG SIDEWALK MINISTRIES
"Sidewalk" is a ministry to millions of urban poor who live along rail and waterways in some of the toughest barrios of South Manila. This powerful outreach attacks generational poverty and the mindset it brings. Ten thousand young lives are being molded through the weekly engagement of sidewalk's missionary team, made up entirely of kids from those same barrios. "Kids reaching kids" is the sidewalk secret power. Once a child makes the jump to leadership a whole new world opens up for them. Serving others changes them forever.

Once kids advance through the Sidewalk program they are invited to join the leadership circle which gives them a mentor, a scholarship track and a path of service to help other kids find freedom.
Angel is a recent example. She's 13 years old. Her father is in prison and her mother struggles to feed the family on $2 a day. Before, it was crushing misery, but Angel met the Lord, now has a purpose and she is showing her barrio the way forward as she walks the road herself.
EMERGE CHILDREN’S MINISTRIES
Through 30 years of experience, we have found the best results happen when locals passionately lead initiatives to help their own people find freedom. Our field partners are generally from the group they are serving, and in most cases, Emerge has played a major role in the establishment of their organization.
Our local partners include street kids ministries, children’s homes, mentor programs, trafficking rescue initiatives, and more. We can monitor results carefully because we live among our partners in places of greatest need. This allows us to apply your contributions directly to front-line needs to help as many kids as possible find freedom.
We believe that transformation begins with a change in the heart that can come only through the work of Jesus. All programs are built on solid commitment to the teachings and lifestyle of Jesus Christ, Savior of all mankind. Christ brings change that lasts.
