The Golden Triangle is the zone where Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar converge at the Mae Kong river. For centuries, this region has been radiating violence, drugs, and human trafficking to all of Southeast Asia.

Children & Young People
are the most affected.

  • 70% of Laos has to live on less than $2 a day. Many are just trying to physically survive no matter what they have to do. These kids tell us they can’t even dream when they’re hungry.

  • School officials report increasing suicides and the need for medication. Deep-poverty kids struggle so hard to survive that they can’t see hope for their future lives.

  • SE Asian kids lose themselves for an average of 10 hours each day scrolling on their phones. This opens their minds to be programmed by media lies and pornography from young ages.

  • Their parents are often illiterate and troubled by addiction, debt and illiteracy. themselves, leaving them unprotected. Traffickers and Drug syndicates run protected multi-billion-dollar industries praying on the unguarded. They use kind-looking middle-aged women as well as young thugs to put kids in vulnerable circumstances to make them easy prey.

We have a plan for the kids and it’s working…

  1. Gather them into small groups for support and development

  2. Get them protection, skills, and education so they can become overcomers

  3. Help them break free spiritually through a personal relationship with Jesus

  4. Empower them to become leaders to their friends and families

  5. Cheer madly

Because of the partnership of donors like you, Emerge is able to sponsor weekly programs for 10,000 kids across Southeast Asia.

Some are being rescued from exploitation and underage prostitution. Others are being set free from generational poverty and are the first of their family to even graduate high school. Today, they are engineers, accountants, and professionals who have led their families out of poverty.
